Time For History.net

It is a pleasure to welcome you into the Time For History website.

No parent or teacher can easily attain everything that is needed for the full instruction of a student or child without risking the danger of wearing themselves out.  It's just not practical to believe that a homeschooler or teacher can take the time needed to instruct themselves in all topics, and also manage the needs of their family and community.  Because of this burden, history is often overlooked.  It's important then to unite with others who have taken the time to do some of the work for you.  That is the mission of this website.

WHATS NEW AT TIME FOR HISTORYTM?

It is a pleasure to expand one of our more popular sections, the coloring image pages.  Added two new pictures to Civil War Coloring Images, one for our Colonial Coloring Images, and added a new section called Frontier Coloring Images.

We also took some time to create a reference page for our Colonial section which talks about Source Materials for the period, with various examples set during the Revolutionary Era.

Click on our Website Index link to get a bird's eye view of what we have on the site.

Gerald P. Illies - Time For HistoryTM

Don't get the wrong impression from the pictures shown here.  It's not necessary for every parent or teacher to go out into the field to explore history.  There are many methods through which we can inspire young minds. One of the most important is to give them practical application. How does the history affect them?  What does it look like?  Who were these people and how did they live?  What were some of the things they used?  By reenacting history, I hoped to gain a personal understanding of how those people lived.  It is my hope that sharing these experiences will help inspire your own appreciation for the story of mankind.
May your days be filled with good books and may your mind always overflow with a desire to dig deeper and learn more.
